Listen to Your Favourite Blogs using Talkr
8 December 2006Talkr is a web based service which you can use to listen to your favourite blogs.
More specifically, it allows you to submit an RSS and it converts it into an mp3 file which you can download and listen.
The procedure is very simple to follow:
Register for a free membership here. Once you provide your e-mail details you will receive a confirmation.
Login using this which is provided in the confirmation mail sent to you.
Now search for your favourite feeds using this which is displayed as Search for Feeds under Feeds.
Now enter the RSS URL of your favourite blog and press Submit.
On the page that appears, click the subscribe link to the right.
Now to the side of every post, there will be a link “listen to mp3″. You can download this mp3 to your desktop and listen the content of the blog.
For people using podcatcher there’s also a Talkr link provided which they can add to get updates.
All these without charging a cent.
We hope to see better services like these in the coming days.
